Life Apparel recently joined forces with i=Change to contribute a portion of each sale to one of three great causes, as selected by the customer, and the Fred Hollows Foundation is one of them.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults are three times more likely to go blind than other Australians, yet 94% of vision loss is preventable or treatable.
The Fred Hollows Foundation works in remote and regional communities across Australia to train the eye health workforce and deliver surgeries and screenings to help to significantly reduce the number of live adversely affected by vision impairment. In partnership with the Fred Hollows Foundation through i=Change, Life Apparel proudly supports projects that help to end avoidable blindness and improve the overall health and quality of life of First Nations peoples.
Check out the video below to see the heartwarming story of Gumatj clan Elder Peter Datjing and the profound impact that the Fred Hollows Foundation has made to his life, and the lives of those around him.
