As some of you may have heard, we recently held an online Charity Art Auction. Four of the extremely talented artists behind our Naidoc 2019 range - Rachael Sarra, Emma Hollingsworth, Danial Kelly and Ailsa Walsh - generously donated their artwork for this online charity event, auctioning off a combination of original and printed artworks which were created for their apparel collection in support of a not-for-profit organisation of their choice.
The nominated organisations included the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, Yalari, Sisters Inside Inc and The Wombat Awareness Organisation, all of which are doing some incredible work for both the First Nations as well as the wider communities.
The auction was held over a week via our website and the results were fantastic, with a grand total of $3900 raised! The bids came from all over the country, with the winning bids coming from New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. The nominated not-for-profit organisations were all absolutely thrilled and several contacted the artists directly to thank them.
As for us, we could not be happier with the result. We thank the contributing artists once again for their generous donations. And also a big thank you to each and every person that placed a bid, you all helped contribute to the money raised, and helped to make this event the success that it was! We have such a legendary community here, and we are so grateful.
