For best care, machine wash gently in cold water, using a mild detergent, and avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.

Line dry out of direct sunlight, refrain from tumble drying to prevent shrinkage or fabric deterioration. If necessary, use a cool iron on the reverse side of the fabric to avoid damaging any prints or embellishments.

Avoid contact with rough surfaces or abrasive materials, as this may cause pilling or snags in the fabric. For long-term care, store the garment in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat or moisture.

Glen Mackie is a First Nations artist and printmaker, a proud Iama man, currently residing on Yidinji Country (Queensland).

This design is about the lore* of the land. The man with the eagle wings is the holy man. He is the teacher. He holds the lore and teaches the lore. The Rainbow Serpent created the land and animals, which is a common creation story used across the Australian mainland and islands by its Indigenous people.

The man with the ‘Warup’ drum is teaching you about the Southern Cross constellation. As a Torres Strait Islander, my people call this constellation ‘Tagai’. It is a calendar for us, still used today, passed down from generation to generation. It was verbally taught to us about the land and sea.

*The term 'lore' refers to the customs and stories the Aboriginal peoples learned from the Dreamtime. Aboriginal lore was passed on through the generations through songs, stories, and dance, governing all aspects of traditional life.

Awesome Polo that makes me feel proud to wear!

Being an Australian, I will support indigenous designers in the way that I can, and buying these beautiful polos is a way to do that. Looks great, feels great on. Lots of positive comments and I have shared the Life Apparel website to many colleagues at my school in Vietnam. Would love to see some button up short sleeve shirts being designed.
