The story of Never Forget:

This artwork honours our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters who fought in wars and participated in peace keeping missions. Indigenous Australians have served in virtually every conflict in which Australia has participated since the start of the last century – from the Boer War to East Timor, and most likely Afghanistan also.

The artwork depicts the rising sun over the ocean’s horizon, representing the spirit of Anzac and a new day. The small white crosses represent the departed and the red cross pays tribute to the nurses and the medical aid needed both abroad and home.

Indigenous Art Code

Life Apparel Co is a proud, long-time member of the Indigenous Art Code, a system to preserve and promote ethical behaviour in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island art.

THE Indigenous Art Code DIFFERENCE

Supporting Artist

Our collaborative process provides Indigenous creatives the space to feature their art on fashion items while placing their history and culture at centre-stage. Minimum 50% of the profit we earn from your purchase is continuously directed back to the artist and on top of that supports our business and community projects.

You + the World

By wearing our clothing - regardless of your cultural background - you become part of a bigger purpose. Life Apparel as an Australian, non-Indigenous operated business acts as an important bridge that connects First Nations artists with the broader Australian community to promote positive change through mainstream fashion.
