Aboriginal artist

Language group: Dharawal / Wadi Wadi

(New South Wales)

He is a Wadi Wadi man, his family is part of the Yuin nation. Boy turned man, family over everything. Started art via graffiti and street art, multiple exhibitions and collaborations with many artists over a nearly two decades long period. The vision behind his art is to share his world through his lens.

Dan says: "The teaching, and our spirit being kept alive through our culture. Sharing our wisdom and ways for all Australians to appreciate. As everyone’s story is unique, that’s what makes us all special!"

Danial has teamed up with Life Apparel Co through Canopy Art to create a product specific, editioned artwork for Naidoc 2019.

He is currently represented with one design in our retail collection.

Hand-drawn on paper

This artwork tells a story of boy to man:  "My drawings are the introduction to culture, my new world. The finding of who and what my family is. The communication and the discovery of a new world. The steps taken to begin my journey of understanding, the hardship fought through a new life, the growth of culture within ones self. The loss, the suffering, the worry, the concern, the shame, the clarity, The defining breakout moment. Becoming one."
